AKU-KO

In the vibrant tapestry of electronic music, few artists weave narratives as intricate and immersive as AKU-KO. Hailing from the sun-drenched shores of Goa, India, this prolific producer, DJ, and captivating live performer has carved a unique niche through his relentless exploration of electronic music's diverse soundscapes. What truly sets AKU-KO apart, however, is his profound dedication to conceptual storytelling.

The majority of his extensive discography unfolds as a sonic saga, meticulously crafting dystopian cyberpunk storylines that transport listeners to futuristic realms brimming with technological marvels and societal decay. Through his music, AKU-KO doesn't just create tracks; he constructs entire worlds, inviting audiences to delve into the very heart of the vivid, often unsettling, narratives that he so passionately brings to life.

THe album "Sick and tired of"

The album Sick and tired of is a 4-track album with track names as personal statements about the world right now.

For instance, the first track is called Corrupt news outlets which is what people are sick and tired of especially in his country of origin India. Even though he has delved in many electronic music genres, this album is more danceable & housy one.

The second track is called Pretending to care about the industry and can be heard as an ironic reference to what the title actually depicts. The third track Premium O2 sounds like a subtle house tune which can be seen as a positive vibe to a resource that could become threatened in the near future. Finally the fourth track An empty wallet (hence) can be interpreted as the consequence of spending our money in an economic world driven by consumption.

In all those 4 tracks, a positive and encouraging dimension leads the listener, letting him dream and maybe giving him hope in the current, sometimes dystopic world.

THe EP "Beer at a coffee shop"

In the Beer at a coffee shop EP the first track is called F corporate culture and it depicts a dystopian world where corporations fueled by capitalism have ended the planet's resources and the remaining people are packing their bags (our narrator being one of them). The second track is called Time to leave the planet. It's an emotional piece with the narrator feeling sad as she boards her ship. The third track is called I do what I do which is a personal statement (while the narrator is traveling through space).

With the fourth track Getting chased by space samurais illustrates the scenario in which the narrator gets chased by space samurai while passing through asteroids and gas clouds.

With Jungal hi jungal, the fifth track, AKU-KO depicts the narrator reaching a planet full of trees and forests while the following track The virus the virus the virus depicts a side story of a virus that has taken over the ship. This is a teaser for the album that is coming after this one.

The last track Beer at a coffee shop closes the EP with the end of the space trip where the spaceship has landed on a planet which is exactly like earth but with minor differences (the most apparent one being the coffee shops sell only beer).
