Following the release of their album In Arms and a tour of Europe and North America, Kaleida (Christina Wood and Cicely Goulder) have announced the release of In Arms (Deluxe Version), now available on Embassy One.
This enhanced edition includes Chalong, a previously unreleased track, as well as four bonus tracks previously exclusive to the vinyl version. These include live studio sessions of Don't Turn Me Out and Hollow, as well as piano interpretations of Hansaplast and Seagull Nun, highlighting the duo's stage power and artistic sensibility.
With Chalong, Kaleida expands its sound universe. This hypnotic track oscillates between meditative electronica and a bewitching club atmosphere. Christina Wood's soft, ethereal voice settles like a lullaby, carried by a vibrant, repetitive bass line, while Cicely Goulder adds immersive synthetic textures, creating a mysterious, captivating atmosphere.
AN INSPIRING AND COMMITTED FEMALE DUO
Kaleida stands out for its atypical background: as long-distance musical partners, they create between two continents while juggling their roles as mothers and artists in an industry that is still largely male-dominated. Their music, which they describe as ‘feminine’, is distinguished by its emotional depth and contemporary resonance, tackling themes such as the climate crisis and global tensions.
A EUROPEAN TOUR TO MARK THE EVENT
To celebrate this release, Kaleida launched their European tour on 5th of February in Warsaw, followed by stops in Wroclaw, Krakow, Budapest and Vienna. A unique opportunity to discover their captivating energy live.
