Phi-Phi & Greg D. - Jesus trip (Christianity Mix)

While searching for old tracks to create new sets, I stumbled upon this track again. An timeless classic produced by Philippe Toulemonde, aka Phi-Phi, Gregory Dewindt, aka Greg D, and recorded by Philippe Van Mullen.

DJ Phi-Phi started his career as a DJ in 1985. He has served as a resident and guest DJ in the most prestigious clubs in Belgium as well as at festivals. As early as 1989, he began his career as a producer alongside Philippe Van Mullen.

DJ Greg D is a DJ and producer who likely began his career in the 1990s. He has collaborated with groups such as "Blue Alphabet" and "Phrenetic System," to name just a few.

This track, like many early '90s Trance releases, features a Christian influence. This is due to a European culture deeply rooted in Christianity, which draws parallels with communion and the gathering of a worship service. However, this one goes a bit further, as the melody clearly symbolizes the sacred journey of an angel through an electronic paradise.

The original version was released in 1992 on the compilation Master Techno - Volume 4, a rather captivating mix but more techno-oriented. This "Christianity Mix," released in 1995 under Diki Records' sub-label X-Stream, develops a higher dimension. It leans towards a Trance track that finds its audience, eager for these "trippy" sounds. Even after all these years, it still gives me goosebumps.

And in the coming days, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a rework of this legendary track. Wait and see.
