Emesh/AMS is the musical project of Antonio Muñoz, a Spanish artist exploring electronic music, ambient, slow trance and IDM. Influenced by the pop and electronic sounds of the 1980s, he began his journey as a resident DJ at Deadly Club in Brihuega before performing at renowned Madrid venues such as Círculo de Bellas Artes, Mondo and Maxime. He also released original productions and remixes under the alias Dujay.
Beyond electronic music, Antonio explores a wide range of instruments and sound practices, combining his work as a musician and therapist with an interest in shamanism and ancient sound-healing traditions. His performances incorporate Tibetan singing bowls, shamanic drums and other traditional instruments. In 2020, one of his tracks was selected for the London Music Conference programme, earning him an invitation to perform at Fabric in London.
The name AMS stands for Antonio Muñoz Sound and Armonía del Sonido, while also referencing the three mother letters of the Sefer Yetzirah — Aleph, Mem and Shin — associated with air, water and fire.
